As the debate in France over marriage equality and gay parenting is heating up, the popular TV show "Zone interdite" broadcasted an interview with Dr. Doyle on the subject. Dr. Doyle is shown during a visit to Paris having a medical consultation with prospective parents, meeting French parents and babies he helped create, and speaking at a seminar on the subject.
CT Fertility was featured in another TV story on Portuguese channel TVI24 demystifying the existing taboo in Portugal surrounding gestational surrogacy. The clip is mostly in English (after a few seconds at the beginning). The crew filmed an egg retrieval and the work of the clinic's embryologist as she fertilized the eggs. They interviewed Dr. Doyle, gay prospective parents and an egg donor.
CT Fertility's Dr. Doyle is featured in a "Frontline" style television program called Linha da Frente on USA surrogacy produced by Portugal's main TV channel. The program seeks to demystify gestational surrogacy, a proceedure that is currently illegal in Portugal. The program interviews a number of Portuguese couples who worked with a gestational surrogate to start their families as well as a four times U.S. surrogate mother, and a U.S. gay couple who had twins through surrogacy more than ten years ago.
Dr. Michael Doyle spoke at the "Men Having Babies" seminar about the medical aspects involved in the process of becoming a parent through surrogacy. He discussed the IVF process, and the options and decisions required in choosing an egg donor and carrier, the possibility of multiples, and possible setbacks. Also on the panel were CT Fertility dad and the CT Fertility egg donor who helped them.
