Dr. Doyle along with other experts, gay parents, surrogates and an egg donors addresses ethical questions often raised regarding surrogacy and gay parenting. Among the moral issues discussed are the medical and psychological risks associated, and how they can be minimized; the motivations of the surrogates and are they being exploited; relationships between the parties during and after the journey; attitudes in the American society versus cultures where surrogacy is more controversial (such as France); how are children affected when they are raised without the presence of a female parent (as is the case when gay men have children with the help of a surrogate).

Dr. Doyle speaks on the latest in USA surrogacy for UK gay parents

Dr. Michael Doyle spoke about "The latest in IVF, egg donation and surrogacy trends for successful family creation" as part of the Alternative Families Show in London, UK, on September 17, 2011. Along with Dr. Doyle, the panel also included Dr. Marcus Harbord, a UK surrogacy dad (a former CT Fertility client), a two-time surrogate, and Blair Sullivan Cuje from The Surrogacy Experience . This was the second event of its kind in the United Kingdom and reflects a growing interest in gay parenting beyond United States borders. Dr. Doyle spoke about the latest medical technologies, screening practices and legal strategies to ensure a successful and hassle-free surrogacy experience. He also offered advice on how prospective parents can tailor their surrogacy journey to fit their personal goals, values, circumstances and financial resources.
