Using a Surrogate or Gestational Carrier
The woman who carries the baby is the gestational surrogate or gestational carrier. The parents-to-be are known as the “intended parents” and are involved in the pregnancy, are present at the birth, and become the child’s parents after the baby is born.
A surrogate mother is a woman who agrees to carry someone else’s baby. She becomes pregnant using some form of assisted reproductive technology, frequently IVF. The surrogate mother carries the baby to term, gives birth, and the baby is released from the hospital to the intended parents.
CT Fertility offers you comprehensive guidance and services for your surrogacy (gestational carrier) treatment. Surrogates are always known candidates. You may already have a surrogate (gestational carrier) in mind that you’d like to use for your treatment, or you can choose one with the help of a surrogacy agency. Our team of Connecticut and Manhattan infertility experts offer emotional, psychological, and financial counseling for your surrogacy treatment. We will provide you with thoughtful guidance and compassionate support throughout your journey to becoming a parent.
Working With Our Team
CT Fertility is invested to make every effort to accommodate third-party candidates and prospective parents throughout their journey. We understand that each donor match is unique. Therefore, case-by-case, our specialists will make every effort to accommodate the intended parents’ requests.
Additionally, we understand traveling for fertility appointments can be time consuming. If you are in need of a NYC fertility clinic, our CT fertility specialist is available select days in our Manhattan fertility clinic to meet with you and help your journey to parenthood.
