Making the decision to seek fertility treatment can be a large emotional commitment and can seem overwhelming at times. At CT Fertility you will be under the care of one of our reproductive endocrinologists, who have extensive experience in the field of reproductive medicine and fertility treatments. Our fertility doctors in Connecticut have a firm commitment in providing the highest level of personal attention to each individual patient’s journey and helping them achieve their dream of a family.  In addition to the compassion and expertise that our team provides, we have put the processes in place to make sure that when you are ready to make the commitment, we are here to make the experience the best it can possibly be.

Your First Visit

Our ultimate goal is to provide unsurpassed medical and emotional support to give you the best chances of conceiving a healthy baby. The journey to this goal begins with the first visit to our Connecticut or NYC fertility centers.  During this time CT Fertility physicians, nurses and administrative staff will get to know you and your partner. This visit usually lasts approximately 1 ½ hours. One hour of this time is spent in a one-on-one consultation with your physician, who will discuss your medical history, determine any testing that you will need, begin creating a customized treatment plan and answer any questions that you may have. We may also perform a physical exam, a vaginal ultrasound and perform blood work. Your physician may recommend a uterine X-ray called an HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) to detect any structural abnormalities in the fallopian tubes or uterus.

Testing the Male Partner (when applicable)

Since 50 percent of infertility problems can be linked to male medical conditions, discovering and treating any issues early in the process can help you achieve pregnancy much sooner. Your physician may recommend a test called a semen analysis to analyze the quality and quantity of sperm.

Your Unique Treatment Plan

As each patient at CT Fertility has different needs, each treatment plan is customized to address those unique needs. The time it takes to create a plan and begin treatment will vary accordingly. After evaluating your medical history and your test results, your physician will provide a recommendation and treatment can begin.

Costs and Insurance Coverage

During this first visit, we will invite you to speak with one of our financial counselors. Our counselors are experts at making treatment more affordable. He or she will walk you through the costs associated with your infertility treatment plan at one of our clinics in Connecticut or New York City.  They will also inform you of any financial packages available to you, help maximize any insurance coverage you may have, answer your questions and ensure that you fully understand the details of your investment.
