Our team of experts will walk you through the complexities of the donor and surrogacy treatment process from start to finish to ensure every detail is managed efficiently and with ease.
Using an Egg Donor
Egg donation is the process by which a woman donates eggs to enable another woman to conceive as part of an assisted reproduction treatment. Egg donation is a third party reproduction as part of assisted reproductive technology (ART).
CT Fertility provides you with the information and support you need throughout your journey using an egg donor. Our experienced team members will guide you through your egg donation selection process.
There are several options to find the candidate that is the best fit. CT Fertility has its own unique in-house donor program of medically and psychologically prescreened egg donor candidates for your treatment at our Trumbull, CT and New York City fertility clinics. Our easy-to-use, secure online database allows you to search through the donor profiles for specific criteria such as ethnicity, education, or physical appearance.
Our center can accommodate you with both the fresh donor egg option and frozen donor egg option.
Using a Sperm Donor
Sperm donation is the provision (or “donation”) by a male (known as a sperm donor) of his sperm (known as donor sperm), principally for the purpose of inseminating a female who is not his sexual partner. Sperm may be donated privately and directly to the intended recipient, or through a sperm bank or fertility clinic
At CT Fertility , we have all the tools you need to select and build your family using sperm donation. You may choose donor sperm through a licensed cryobank or you can choose someone you already know. All sperm donors undergo extensive medical and psychological screening prior to the donation. We work closely with several accredited sperm banks, most of which will allow you to browse or search donors by their physical characteristics, ethnicity, and educational background.
Using a Surrogate or Gestational Carrier
The woman who carries the baby is the gestational surrogate or gestational carrier. The parents-to-be are known as the “intended parents” and are involved in the pregnancy, are present at the birth, and become the child’s parents after the baby is born.
A surrogate mother is a woman who agrees to carry someone else’s baby. She becomes pregnant using some form of assisted reproductive technology, frequently IVF. The surrogate mother carries the baby to term, gives birth, and the baby is released from the hospital to the intended parents.
CT Fertility offers you comprehensive guidance and services for your surrogacy (gestational carrier) treatment. Surrogates are always known candidates. You may already have a surrogate (gestational carrier) in mind that you’d like to use for your treatment, or you can choose one with the help of a surrogacy agency. Our team of Connecticut and Manhattan infertility experts offer emotional, psychological, and financial counseling for your surrogacy treatment. We will provide you with thoughtful guidance and compassionate support throughout your journey to becoming a parent.
